Zyv-Wallpapers works on Ubuntu 20.04+, Zorin OS 16+, Linux Mint 20+, Pop!_OS 20.04+, and other Debian-based distributions. It requires X11/Xorg (not Wayland) and hardware acceleration support.

Currently, Zyv-Wallpapers only supports X11/Xorg. Wayland support is planned for future releases. You can check your session type by running echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE in terminal.

Supports MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV, WebM, and most common video formats. For best performance, use H.264 encoded MP4 files with 1080p or 4K resolution.

With hardware acceleration, it uses minimal CPU (1-3%) and moderate GPU resources. The auto-pause feature reduces usage to near zero when desktop is covered by windows.

Yes! Zyv-Wallpapers automatically detects and spans across all connected monitors. You can also set different wallpapers for each monitor in future updates.

Yes, Zyv-Wallpapers is completely free and open-source under MIT license. No ads, no premium features, no subscriptions. Just download and enjoy!

Simply run sudo apt remove zyv-wallpapers in terminal or use your package manager's GUI. All settings and autostart entries will be automatically removed.
