A white background for Amazon and Etsy product photos
Put your product on the pure white background Amazon asks for on main images, or the clean white that works on Etsy, in one step — with a shadow under the product so it looks photographed there, not pasted on. Prefer soft studio grey, cream, black or your own brand colour? That is the same click.

Your image is on its way. Work starts the moment it lands.
Three steps, nothing to learn.
Upload, let it run, download. The editor opens with your image already loading.
Drop the photo in
Any product shot against any background — a kitchen counter, a bedsheet, a garden wall. JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 10 MB.
Pick the new background
White, studio grey, cream, cool grey, black, a warm gradient or any colour from the picker, then choose a floor shadow, a soft shadow or none.
Download
The product sits on its new background at the full size of your photo, ready to upload to a listing.
A clean background without a studio.
Marketplaces reward plain, bright backgrounds, and most of us photograph products wherever the light is best. This closes the gap in one step.
Pure white, done properly
White means #FFFFFF, edge to edge — the background Amazon asks for on a main image and the one that makes a product pop in eBay and Google Shopping results.
A shadow that grounds the product
A floor shadow is drawn from the product’s own outline, squashed under it like light falling from above. Without one, a cut-out on white looks like it is floating.
Your brand colour
Pick any colour for a consistent shop look, or a two-tone gradient for social posts and banners.
Edges that hold up
Hair-fine details like handles, straps and spouts are kept by the same model that runs our background remover, so the edge is soft where it should be and crisp where it should be.
Private by design
The AI model runs in your own browser. Your photo is never uploaded to us or to anyone else — only the credit is recorded.
Part of one editor
Change the background, then frame it for a marketplace, add a watermark or compress it — the same image, the same screen, no re-uploading.
Who it is for.
Zyvavo is built by someone who sells on Etsy and eBay, so these are the jobs it was made for first.
Amazon and eBay main images
White backgrounds are the rule for main images on Amazon and the norm on eBay. Shoot anywhere, change it to white here.
Etsy shops with a look
A consistent cream or brand-colour backdrop across every listing makes a shop feel deliberate rather than assembled.
Social posts and ads
A gradient or bold colour behind a product stops the scroll better than a kitchen counter.
Second-hand sellers
Clothes photographed on a bed, gadgets on a desk — a plain background makes a used item look cared for.
What it handles well — and where it struggles.
No tool is perfect, and any page claiming otherwise is selling you something. Here is roughly where the line sits.
A clear product on a different-coloured background
A mug on a wooden table, a candle on a bedsheet, shoes on a pavement. The product separates cleanly and the new background looks native.
Busy backgrounds and soft edges
Clutter behind the product, fluffy textures or fabric edges. Check the edges at full size before you publish — most come out clean.
Glass, transparent and same-colour items
A clear glass, a white product on a white table, or a mesh. The model has to guess where the object ends, and the guess shows. Shoot these against a contrasting colour.
Five things worth knowing.
A few habits that make the new background look like it was always there.
- Shoot against a contrasting colour. A dark product on a light sheet (or the reverse) gives the cleanest edge of all.
- Keep the product whole in the frame. A cropped corner becomes a straight cut on the new background, which reads as a mistake.
- Use the floor shadow for anything that stands. Mugs, bottles, shoes and boxes look grounded; use the soft shadow for flat-lay items photographed from above.
- Match the light. A warmly lit product on a cold grey backdrop looks pasted on. Cream or warm white suits warm light.
- Frame it afterwards. For Amazon or eBay, run Marketplace frames next — it centres the product at the right size on the same white.
New accounts start with 100 credits free — that is 33 background changes — with no card and no subscription. The product is found by an AI model, which is why this costs more than the one-credit file tools.
Answered.
How do I change a photo background to white?
Drop the photo in, keep the default White swatch with a floor shadow, and run it. The product is cut out by an AI model and placed on pure #FFFFFF at the photo’s original size.
Is the white background acceptable for Amazon?
The background itself is pure white, which is what Amazon’s main-image rule asks for. Amazon also wants the product to fill most of the frame — use Marketplace frames for that, which centres the product at 85% of a 2000-pixel square.
Can I use my own colour?
Yes. Use the colour picker for any colour, or the gradient swatch for a two-tone backdrop.
What is the difference between this and the background remover?
The background remover leaves the background transparent — a PNG you can put on anything yourself. The background changer puts a new background and a shadow behind the product for you, ready to post.
Will the shadow look fake?
It is drawn from the product’s own silhouette rather than a generic oval, so it follows the shape. For a product shot from above, choose the soft shadow or none.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The AI model downloads once into your browser and runs there. The photo stays on your device; our server only records that a credit was used.
Why does it take a moment the first time?
The first run downloads the model, about 87 MB, and your browser keeps it. After that a change takes a second or two on most computers.
How much does it cost?
Three credits per photo. New accounts get 100 credits free, which is 33 photos.
Can I change the background of many photos at once?
Yes — the batch editor takes up to 50 photos and applies the same background to all of them.
What formats are supported?
JPG, PNG and WEBP up to 10 MB in; the result comes out as a high-quality JPG at the original size.
